Clewiston Friends of Animals began with Frances Nall and Carroll Benson, who founded the nonprofit in the 1980s. They had a vision of a better future for cats by providing low-cost spay and neuter. They have since passed, but their compassion and dedication continue to guide everything we do.

In 2024, CFOA found its way into new hands after several years of animal advocacy and serving the local community. What started as two cat lovers' dream became the next chapter of CFOA. Today, it's a broader, grassroots effort to help animals and the people who care for them.

The work has grown, but the heart behind it remains the same: help animals, help people, and make a difference where we can.
